The Intentional Creation of Flowing Advaya

‘Unique Movement Therapy’

 The word ‘Advaya’ (Unique in Sanskrit) and the word ‘Flowing’ organically move together creating an experience before we even physically enter the space to dance.  Two words come together to pique curiosity. 

That is exactly what happened when I saw the words ‘Chakra’ & ‘Dance’ together!  I was invited to a shamanic retreat, being open to most adventures, I said ‘yes’.   I had no idea what this was, but I knew I had to ‘experience’ whatever it was ‘going’ to be.  It was the beginning of my healing journey and reconnection of oneness mind, body, spirit.  I was in!  Dance has been a part of my entire life; music embedded in my DNA; freeform spirit is my essence!  I had only some knowledge of the Chakras but as I thought about it, it made so much sense; as a prism of light becomes colorful through the clear space it travels; we too are beams of light, wheels of energy in color!

When I left the retreat, I knew this was something that I wanted to share with everyone and anyone who was willing and curious to ‘feel what this reconnection’ of oneness is.  To see the possibility of healing in a nontraditional forum; through movement a way that as humans have practiced together for centuries.

So there became my intention to birth; Flowing Advaya, to create and hold space for those on their journey back to embody their true essence, uninhibited by societal structures.  We are all Flowing Advaya, moving uniquely through this life spiraling wheels of energy that transcend stories of our past, present and future.   If we wish to sustain collectively, we must all reclaim our light source and be the balance of the masculine feminine energy that polarizes the universe. Dance as an ancient art form realizes this delicate swaying that we do as we move through this human dimension in the dance we heal, we take flight to our most expansive dreams and soul calling.
